Most water damage jobs use more than one service in sequence. Water comes out first, the structure is dried, damaged materials are cleaned or removed and the rooms are rebuilt. The pages below separate those steps so you can see what each involves and what it does not.
If you are not sure which fits, call. The dispatcher will ask about the source, the rooms and how long the water has been there, then explain which service starts first. You can call the line now at any hour.
| Your situation | Start with |
|---|---|
| Water is standing or still running | Emergency water removal |
| Walls and floors are wet but the water is stopped | Water mitigation |
| Water came from a drain, flood or outside | Flood damage restoration |
| The water is gone, but debris, odor or contamination remain | Water damage cleanup |
| The structure is dry and needs rebuilding | Water damage repair |
| You see or smell mold after a leak | Mold remediation |
Water damage services
Each service has its own page with the process, a decision table, the cost factors and an emergency or planning section as appropriate. Emergency water removal and flood damage restoration are the pages most people need at night. Water mitigation is the page for what happens in the days after.
Water damage repair is planned work, so it is the one service where we ask you to wait for dry readings before rebuilding starts.
Mold and the secondary service
Mold remediation is a secondary service, and it nearly always follows moisture. If mold appeared after a leak, the page explains inspection, containment and clearance testing. For larger or repeated problems, the sequence is the same: find the water, fix it, then remove and dry.
Where each service is offered
All six services are available in Northborough and the five towns on our service area page, including Westborough and Marlborough. Dispatch covers the whole area from one number, and a crew is arranged for the same day when available.

Water Damage Repair
Drywall, ceilings, hardwood and trim are rebuilt once readings show the structure is dry. This is the planned-work page for after the emergency.
Emergency Water Removal
Pumps and extraction units clear standing water from basements, kitchens and crawl spaces. It is the page for the first hour of a flood or burst pipe.
Flood Damage Restoration
Storm runoff, groundwater and sewage backups need protective gear and more removal. The page covers categories, basements and insurance.
Water Damage Cleanup
Wet debris is removed, surfaces are sanitized and odors are dealt with after the water is stopped. It covers what stays and what goes.
Water Mitigation
Moisture mapping and structural drying stop the damage from spreading into walls and floors. The page explains how crews know a wall is dry.
Mold Remediation
Mold grows where water has been. The page covers inspection, containment, clearance testing and what to ask any company.
